Today in 1969…
Thanks to BobG for the reminder. As exciting as it was to watch the Space Shuttle launch I can’t imagine what it would have been to watch this live on television. It is amazing to me that we could accomplish such an incredible feat with the technology we had 41 years ago. Remember this is a time when the pocket calculator was hitting the market weighing about 1 pound and costing close to $400. Proud yet? You should be.
Best story to come out of the moon walk? Has to be this one. To bad it isn’t true.
