    Tilt-shift Photography

Tilt-shift or miniaturizing refers to the style of photography where you take an image and change the focal point/blur to make it look like the photo was taken of a scale model rather than the real item. It is supposed to work best on aerial or crowd shots.  Not something I get to take a lot of on an average day but a digital retouching I have been very interested in trying.  Riding the Texas Star at the State Fair of Texas I had the rare opportunity to take a couple of “aerial” photos.  Here is the outcome of the image and the tilt-shift process.

So these are the first and possibly last for a while of an attempt at doing this – at least for a while.  I know it is a bit on the geek side but I am still learning the new camera and having fun with it.
