Update: Can you help identify these bricks?

Not too long ago we posted here and several other places about the unusual Lego bricks BobG found at the Flea Market. In addition to all the usual places I emailed James Foulds Community Operations Manager of Lego who I met at the recent Brick Magic festival this Spring. It took him a while but we finally got as close to an official answer as you can possible have – from Lego itself.

    Anthony,

Sorry about the long delay in responding.  To answer your question, they were made by Samsonite:

    Cheers,

    -Jim

So now we know 100% that these are real Lego bricks. Thanks to Jim for the confirmation.
