I have to admit my dinner was excellent despite my shock when a $12 “hamburger” was dropped off at my table. Portion sizes aren’t huge but the food was very good. Watch out – the pricing structure can turn your meal into a pricey experience. Plan to spend around $19-20 for an entree and side. (Around $13 and $6 respectively.) and around $7 if you plan to have an appetizer or salad. The style of the restaurant is awesome – you feel like you have stepped into an Atlanta or even a New York establishment here in Raleigh. I didn’t leave hungry or broke but if there was more food at less cost I would highly recommend this place. As is – save it for a special event.
The food is very good for a bar atmosphere and at $5 per item very reasonably priced. The beer selection is good with over 250 options and specials on beer buckets your choice or the bar’s. I hadn’t been to Hi5 in a while when we went to watch the State game last night was was pleasantly surprised at the number of TVs and the quality of the food.
Not worth leaving the “beaten path” for but not bad if you find yourself in Zebulon late on a Friday night. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a steakhouse that had a salad bar – no not a all-you-can-eat full service bar but an old fashioned salad bar. I had no idea they still existed. The food was good not great – I wouldn’t make a special trip.
You can find the Fargo Cattle Co. at the Zebulon exit off of Hwy 64.
Awesome pizza place within walking distance of Historic Boylan Heights. They have salad, pastas, pizza and some great sound appetizers on the menu but I never make it further than the PIZZA. I tend to think that anyone can make a pizza – it takes something a little extra to make it stand out. Unique toppings and a great crust make Moonlight one of my favorites in Raleigh.
How good is this Pumpkin Pie? It won second place and $250 at the Triangle Town Center’s Pumpkin Pie Bake-Off. I know – the recipe is so good we should charge for it. Since we already got paid we’ll just go ahead and share. If you make one feel free to email us a slice.
