I guess with Tron 2 coming out soon this was somewhat inevitable.  If you have 3-D glasses (the red/blue kind) there is supposedly a 3-D version.  Yes – it is probably work safe unless cheesy music and bad singing is frowned upon in your office. (The other geek alert – BobG sent me this while I was watching it.)

Thanks to BobG for the reminder. As exciting as it was to watch the Space Shuttle launch I can’t imagine what it would have been to watch this live on television.  It is amazing to me that we could accomplish such an incredible feat with the technology we had 41 years ago.  Remember this is a time when the pocket calculator was hitting the market weighing about 1 pound and costing close to $400.  Proud yet?  You should be.

Best story to come out of the moon walk?  Has to be this one.  To bad it isn’t true.

There I am geeking out at the Star Wars Concert last night at the RBC Center.  A concert showcasing the Oscar winning music of John Williams named the “Greatest Film Score of All Time” by the American Film Institute (Click here for 18 other things you don’t know about Star Wars).

It was an awesome show – could have done with a little less chatter from Anthony Daniels (the voice of C-3PO) but couldn’t we say that about all the Star Wars movies?  (And might be saying that soon about a “Untitled Star Wars TV Series” – but who knows?)  That being said the show was great and the props were cool to see.  Pictures of the props and pieces of the show after the jump.  The images are blurry because the light is poor, the cool stuff was behind glass and the show was more about sound than visuals.  All that being said I would go again right now if I could.

Looks like a reasonable pet.
