Twas four days before Christmas and hush fell on the crowd. Could it be? Why yes it is. The most famous starship in the galaxy. (He said twas.)
The Millennium Falcon became famous as the personal smuggling starship of Han Solo and Chewbacca. It began life as a standard Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-1300 stock light freighter. Eventually it was won by Solo from Lando Calrissian in the Cloud City Sabacc Tournament. Throughout its operational lifetime, the ship endured many adventures and upgrades which led to its dilapidated exterior appearance. Under both Calrissian and Solo, it played a vital role in the Galactic Civil War and later conflicts. [SOURCE]
This is my favorite ship in Star Wars – I’m glad it was in the Advent Calendar and plan on putting it right in line with my other two when Christmas is over.
Yesterday was the TIE Pilot and today we a Twin Ion Engine (TIE) starfighter.
Ships in the TIE series were usually armed with one or more laser cannons. More advanced fighters were equipped with a variety of warhead launchers, and the TIE Avenger and TIE Defender could be fitted with a small-scale tractor beam. [SOURCE]

On day 19 we have a TIE Pilot. Pilots for the Imperial fleet that flew TIE series starfighters.
The Twin Ion Engine (TIE) series was a series of starfighters and vehicles designed by Sienar Fleet Systems. TIE series starfighters shared a general design form of a roughly spherical or cylindrical cockpit pod attached to a set of solar panels. The cockpit and panels could be supplemented by other modules for ordnance or other functions. [SOURCE]
I know he is a little hard to see – that’s what happens when you wear black on black with just a little reflective stripe. We’re having the same issue with R2-Q5. Not sure if there is a good or easy way to fix it. I am open to suggestions and photography tricks if you have them. Only 5 days left.
On the 18th day of Advent the calendar gave to me a Y-wing. So the song lyrics need a little work but trust me the music is awesome. Another mini set built to have a resemblance to a larger model. The Y-wing is from back when we were supposed to believe that “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” they not only spoke English but used the Latin alphabet to name their vehicles based on their shape (X-wing / Y wing).
The BTL Y-wing starfighter, built by Koensayr Manufacturing, was a mainstay of the Alliance Starfighter Corps. It was often used as an assault bomber to attack enemy capital ships directly in conjunction with the later B-wing starfighters. [SOURCE]
We’re under a week now…
On day 17 we have what appears to be a Jedi weapon rack. I would assume every Jedi has one of these in their home or office. Unfortunately there isn’t a lot to say about this gift except to remind people that I could actually use one of these at both my home and office. If you are looking for gift ideas.
