I’ve been busy.
NOSVC with 1000s of other websites, the NFL, and a local kickball team named Tacos is going Pink for October. The concept at least for the websites and the NFL is to raise awareness about breast cancer. I’m not positive that the kickball team thought about this.
For those of you familiar with the site you know Race for the Cure is Raleigh is typically an annual event for us. All joking aside this is a serious issue and while I know changing a couple of images to a pinkish hue won’t do much maybe it will make the random visitor to the site think about life and maybe doing some good in it.
Enjoy the slight change in appearance for the next couple of weeks.
Change is the only constant here at nosvc.com – I’m constantly tweaking it and having fun. In doing so I always want to change the theme or look of the site. I guess that is what happens when you look at the site every day. To that end I decided to keep working on themes and letting the end user decide what they liked better. So here we are introducing the first of potentially several new themes. The first one I am calling “RetroFuture.”
This one isn’t too radical of a departure from the other themes but does incorporate some of the look and feel of what people in the 50′s thought today may have looked like. Filtered of course through the Jetson’s, Disney World and other cartoon icons from when I was kid. The result is a simple look and feel. Give it a test drive on the menu to the right. Don’t like it? Return to the NOSVC Default. Still working small kinks out of both themes – if you notice a problem let me know.
Post your suggestions for the next theme. I was thinking about reviving one of the old ArtMusiclife themes and putting it into this format.
Today was a great day to fly a kite A perfect mix of windy and overcast without being too cold.
The kite with the cam on it crashed on it’s first flight and is in need of repair – again. The kite in this video is the Space Shuttle that we bought (and didn’t use) before the St. Patrick’s Day parade. It too is in need of repair – figures.
I know – this isn’t the most overwhelming video we’ve ever posted but it isn’t bad – we ended up flying the kite for well over an hour.
