A heat wave is hitting most of the nation and is headed right for the South. We are expecting temperatures in the high 90′s for the rest of the week. Fortunately the good folks at USA Today created this little info graphic to help you understand the heat index and heat related illnesses.
If you have a job where you might have to spend extended periods of time outdoors it might not be a bad idea to print this out and carry it with you. In fact – you may want to print out a couple and share with a friend. It might not be a bad idea to print this out and share on your company bulletin boards too. The heat is dangerous and it could be deadly – you could print this out and hang it around town to warn people. I know it sounds extreme but the heat is pretty extreme too.
We all have to pitch in and do our part.

An autographed space shuttle model and a U.S. flag flown on the first and last shuttle missions will remain on the International Space Station (ISS) to serve as a monument to the end of NASA’s shuttle program and a goal for its successor.
“This flag represents not just a symbol of our national pride and honor, but in this particular case, it represents a goal,” Ferguson said. “This flag will be flown prominently here by the forward hatch of Node 2, to be returned to Earth once again by an astronaut that launches on a U.S. vehicle, hopefully in just a few years.”

So soccer is sometimes described as a “giant game of keep away” and for the most part that is a fair to reasonable assessment. Occasionally someone will do something great and fortunately for the rest of us the internet is there to share it with those of us that might fall asleep during a soccer game. And that of course brings us to this.
What happens when someone makes soccer exciting? They get in trouble of course -
UAE manager Esmaeel Rashed told The National newspaper the move was “disrespectful” and that Awana could be punished. A meeting is set for late Tuesday in which the team will decide what action to take against Awana, including a possible suspension or fine.
“This should have not happened,” Rashed told the newspaper. “I think what happened is disrespectful. We cannot accept anyone in our team who does not respect the opponent.” [SOURCE]
Sorry the posting has gotten a little slow lately – the return to work has taken more of my time that I would prefer but then again that is usually the case.
This was too good not to post. Just like the previous Kenny Powers video we showed you this one is awesome. In fact – I might buy a pair of K-Swiss shoes because the company had the balls to create a spot like this. I do have the NSFW tag on due to language. Or – if you like watching videos like this at work you can use it to find a better job. Just don’t blame me when you find out unemployment sucks.
Given this I may have to update my title here from “that guy that writes the blog” to MFCEO. Maybe that would make NOSVC successful like Kenny Powers. Thoughts?
