[singlepic id=7291 w=320 h=240 float=right]The premise sounds simple - run from the belltower at NC State to the Krispy Kreme eat a dozen doughnuts and return in under an hour. Approximate distance 5 miles give or take. This isn't the first time we're been to or participated in the challenge and while it is much harder than it sounds - it is likely the most fun race in Raleigh. Congrats to Mark, EdG, Eileen/iLean, BobG 11.75, Zach, Nick, Lisa, Bentley, the rest of the DC crew and anyone else I may have missed that we saw. Special congrats to those runners ...
The Rembrandt in America exhibit at the NC Museum of Art uses the slogan "You know the name. Now find out why." And much in the same way that I had heard of Genghis Khan I could have told you very little about our other museum guest in the city. Namely he may have been French (not true) and he didn't have a Ninja Turtle named after him (this one is true). Rembrandt in America is the largest collection of Rembrandt paintings ever presented in an American exhibition and the first major exhibition to explore in depth the collecting history of ...
[singlepic id=7209 w=320 h=240 float=right]The name Genghis Khan is probably a familiar one even if you don't know who he was exactly. Before going to the exhibit at the NC Museum of Natural Science I had a very vague idea of who Genghis Khan was and something of a concept of who he was historically but knew very little about the role he played in history. Genghis Khan is famous as the ruthless Mongol warlord who conquered half the known world. Under his rule, the Mongol Empire grew to be four times the size of the Roman Empire at its largest ...

Back home from the NCAA Tournament and Charlotte and still sorting through the pictures. Might take me a while. In the mean time have fun with this one. Cara iD sent it over from SXSW and it is probably as real as Mario could get.
So while you are waiting on me to sort out the 500+ pictures from the weekend have fun watching this. Wait – you weren’t waiting to see all the pictures? Watch this anyway.

I took 280 pictures at the games yesterday – this is one of my early favorites. It isn’t easy going to four games back to back. You realize this 12 hours into the process. From my predictions yesterday I was 75% slightly worse than my guesses overall. I really thought Tennessee would show up. They were staying in our hotel and are packing up to back to Knoxville today. Best game of the day may have been UNC/Long Island. The Blackbirds did their best to stay in it. They forced the Carolina starters to stay in until the last minute and a half. More pictures to come – I just have to get them sorted, edited and uploaded. That takes more time and effort than I plan on spending today.
We’re in town for the first and second (or if you believe the tickets – second and third) round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. We’ve completed our brackets and we’re ready to go. Very interested on seeing how Charlotte handles the event. After the All-Star Game in Raleigh we’re hoping for a good show.
Tomorrow we’ll be seeing and hopefully posting pictures from Duke/Hampton, Michigan/Tennessee, UNC-CH/Long Island, and Washington/UGA. (My picks underlined.) Feel free to give me your picks in the comments and/or tell me how wrong I am.
Should be a good 12 hour day of basketball.

It is easy to see from this true-color image why Ireland is called the Emerald Isle. Intense green vegetation, primarily grassland, covers most of the country except for the exposed rock on mountaintops. Ireland owes its greenness to moderate temperatures and moist air. The Atlantic Ocean, particularly the warm currents in the North Atlantic Drift, gives the country a more temperate climate than most others at the same latitude.
Last year our float was Space Ireland – here is Ireland from space. (Click here for a larger image.) Hope you have a great St. Patrick’s Day.
Follow-up to yesterday’s Evil, Inc. webcomic. And again very similar to my life.
I’ve got plenty of things that are client driven that I would love to get distance from.
